How to reach ICTP and TRIESTE from the Airport 

On Sunday, October 10, a SPIN2004 desk will be operative at the Trieste airport
to help participants to get to ICTP or downtown Trieste.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT CONNECTIONS BY COACH/BUS STATION IN TRIESTE

1.  The Public Transport company APT operates bus and coach services 
  linking the airport with Trieste: 
 
  Take BUS 51 (Direction: Trieste; NOT Udine) 40mins -- 1 hour
 
  For ICTP, Adriatico and Galilei Guest House: Grignano Miramare stop 
  For down town hotels: Trieste Coach Station stop

Tickets: can be purchased at the airport: 
* in the Arrivals Hall, with an automatic machine for selfticketing 
  Use button 5 for Grignano (2.20 Euro) (July 2004) 
 Use button 6 for Trieste (2.65 Euro) (July 2004) 
 The machine accepts low value banknotes
* at the Post Office (limited opening hours; closed on Sunday) 
* at the Newsagent's (limited opening hours) 
 
2.  Taxis 
 Taxis are available outside the Arrivals hall from 08.00 to 24.00 
 (about 1 hour, 60 euros)

SHUTTLE SERVICE FROM THE AIRPORT ON SUNDAY

To strenghen the public transportation service, which on Sunday runs at low pace,
a dedicated shuttle service will be organized on Sunday, October 10. The shuttle
will run with a rate of about 1 travel every 2 hours, from the airport to the Adriatico
Guest House, ICTP area and the Trieste main train station.
More information will be given to the partecipants upon their arrival at the airport.
