Carso is the largest tourist cave in the world. It is an extraordinary 107 m
high, 160 m long and 65 m wide hall.

cave is famous for its leaved stalagmites that look like palm-tree and for its
peculiarity that can be contained the saint Peter’s cathedral in

You begin your visit aboard the cave train and the electric lighting allows you to admire the size and splendor of the underground world.
The visit is quite comfortable, walk distance is about 45 minutes
and the rest seat in the yellow electric train.

Discovering the subterranean world of the Carso surrounding
Visit a unique underground gorge and its many vast chambers make
They are a system of eleven interconnected caves, collapse
dolines, natural bridges and sinkholes.
Since 1986 they have been under protection of UNESCO as a part of
its World Heritage Site.
The system is
essentially marked by the Reka-Velka river, which flows through the caves,
where it falls into a series of cascades and water-falls, tumbles down the
rocks or comes to rest in small underground lakes.
